Analog Glitch series started as a series in 2017 as a way of dealing with toxic love relationship. I was left with an enormous archive of analog photos, taken during a four year relationship with my partner. The look at the archive from that period was painful. In order to deal with these memories, I started to cut down the photos and re-arrange them into new visual landscapes that had the history in it, but not the actual stories. A new way to look at the matter.

Sanja Lasic

Sanja Lasić, 1987, Sarajevo (Yugoslavia/BiH). Currently lives and works in Vienna. After graduating with BA in Painting and Visual Arts from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milano in 2010 she continued her studies at the Academy of fine arts Vienna obtaining her MA degree in Arts and New Media in 2017. Lasić is an interdisciplinary artist, working with topics of cultural identity, memory and trauma, from a female point of view. She reflects on struggles related to topics of forced displacement, physical and emotional spaces and memory. Her artistic work is a combination of research and art practice. Her works were shown in MUMOK, Hallway Gallery, VBKÖ, Lisabird Contemporary, MO.E, Format STRK* and LOW in Vienna, Galleria Artra and Il Crepaccio in Milan. Her short videos were screened in Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Russia and Spain where she also received several scholarship and residence opportunities.
