Milena Gajic, born in 1985in Negotin Serbia. She is based in Vienna since 2012. She received her MFA in Painting from the Faculty of Applied Arts (Department of Applied Painting) in Belgrade in 2010. In 2012 she enrolled in a PhD program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She has participated in several art colonies in Serbia and exhibited in the country and abroad. Her work oversteps traditional disciplinary boundaries, often combining different artistic approaches and methods. She perceives painting as an installation. The topics of interest in her artistic practice include motherhood, identity, verticality, and the position of a female artist.
