Chin Tsao, 曹晶, *1989, Taipei, Taiwan,lives and works in Vienna 2016-2021 MFA, “TransArts”, Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien, AT 2020-2021 Prof. Tobias Rehberger, Hochschule für Bildende Künste Städelschule, DE 2014-2017 MFA, “Art & Science”, Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien, AT Chin Tsao is an artist whose practice encompasses sculptures, installations, music, performance and new media. She obtained her MFA at University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her diploma work “The Land of Promise” is awarded Preis der Kunsthalle Wien 2021. The project addressed the issue of a high speed digitized culture, which she used her personal narrative as an action to reconstruct the techno-reality. Her sculpture practices the possibility of reinterpreting historical aesthetics as an act of changing the meaning of material reality and cultural memory. Her works were exhibited at Nevven Gallery(SE), Galería Katakomby(CZ), Viennacontemporary Art Fair 2020 (AT) and Parallel Vienna 2019 (AT).
