Antropofagia is a textile sculpture from TWMC, The working Memory Collection*.
The textile is made by combining found and collected materials, coming from the industrial, the popular and also the personal sphere of the artist, establishes a mutual dialogue among them and embodies spiritual suggestions with healing powers.

*The Working Memory is a collection of industrial scrapes. Passive geometries are rescued form industrial waste. Plates of metal, classified as refuse during the industrial production's process, are used as molds passing a printing press, rebuilding a geometric path on paper or on textile. As well as the industrial activity, this collection of works is constantly under production.

Francesca Aldegani, * 1978, Italien, lebt und arbeitet in Wien. 1999 - 2001 Studium Industrial Design und Nomadic Techniques of natural fibers, Mailand,2005 - 2012 In Mexico gelebt, kunstlerische Tätigkeiten, Recherche und Residency.2013 - 2014 Studium Klasse Landschaftkunst, Martha Schwartz, Tonz Heywood, Tim Richardson, Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien, 2014 – 2019 Studium Klasse Ortsbezogene Kunst, Prof. Paul Petritsch, Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien, 2019 Diplom mit Auszeichnung in Ortsbezogene Kunst Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien. The Space Around Me ist ihr Alias-Name, dessen Nachhall sich als Statement in ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit findet. Ihre künstlerische Praxis orientiert sich u.a. an der Forschung des Animismus und der Morphischen und Einheitlichen Felder. Sie fokussiert sich auf die intuitiven und rituellen Aspekte, die hinter der künstlerischen Konzeption stehen. In textilen Skulpturen, experimentellen Gravuren und ephemeren Installationen integriert sie gefundene und gesammelte Materialien, die aus ihrer privaten Sphäre, industriellen und volkstümlichen Umgebungen stammen.
